As a non-profit organization with limited funding, the Great Swamp Watershed Association depends heavily on volunteers to help out with tasks ranging from clerical help, to event staffing, to trained environmental observers. We take time out at least once a year say thank you to those volunteers who give their time and expertise selflessly to our organization.
This year the Watershed Association held its annual Volunteer Dinner on Friday, June 15th, and recognized three “Volunteers of the Year”.
Volunteer Webmaster and Newsletter Editor Ann Campbell received her award from Education and Outreach Director Hazel England.
Kelley Curran, Stream Protection Specialist, gave a volunteer appreciation award to Terry Dyben for his help with the stream monitoring program and for his work on the BioBlitz.
Director of Membership Patsy Clew with long-time volunteer Joan Kirsten, who has helped with all aspects of membership and organizational activities, and in Patsy’s words, came whenever she was needed!
